Haider Al-Jabri, the media official of Al-Sadr’s office, read a statement by the leader of the Sadrist movement during a press conference that Mawazine News followed: “These days we see a clear escalation in the war between Saudi Arabia and Yemen, specifically with the Houthis, and I say: There must be an intervention to end this war that is ending The entire region must be under tension and bloody conflicts. According to the statement, Mr. Al-Sadr called on the committees concerned with returning the property of Christians to continue their project, as well as the homes of minorities in Iraq, urging "to activate this more broadly to lift their grievances."
Al-Sadr added that "some political parties are working to exploit the intruders in peaceful protests, in order to escalate security and politics, to exploit it for electoral spoils and political purposes, with which the Al-Ahly community may be shaken, and the attack on the security forces will escalate without a legitimate or legal argument," calling "The government performs its duties to maintain security and state prestige."
