He pointed out that "the budget is for the entire country and not for a specific group," stressing that "the provincial quotas, jobs and the exchange rate caused some blocs not to enter the parliament hall."
"The central bank will appeal the budget if parliament changes the current exchange rate," he added.

    Baghdad - Mawazine News
The Parliamentary Finance Committee confirmed that the Central Bank will challenge the budget if the current exchange rate changes, and while the Parliamentary Economic Committee considered some of the items added to the budget "unconstitutional", the National Forces Alliance expressed its support for political consensus on the region's share.
The reporter of the Parliamentary Finance Committee, Ahmed Al-Saffar, said, "The vote on the 2021 budget within the Finance Committee was based on the delivery of the Kurdistan region to 460 thousand barrels per day," noting that "some blocs requested the addition of a text in the budget in the event of non-commitment of the region, the benefits are cut."
He added, "The budget is for the entire country and not for a specific group," stressing that "the provincial quotas, jobs and the exchange rate caused some blocs not to enter the parliament hall."
He noted that "the central bank will appeal the budget if parliament changes the current exchange rate."
For his part, a member of the Parliamentary Economic and Investment Committee, Falah Al-Khafaji, said to the "tenth" program: "We asked the regional government delegation to have its agreement with the House of Representatives," noting that "the final decision regarding oil with the region is the House of Representatives."
He continued: "The proceeds of the region's oil must be delivered to the SOMO company," noting that "the agreement was to deliver 460 thousand barrels per day from the region."
He explained, "The regional government has no right to contract for the extraction and export of oil," stressing that "the 2021 budget was designed on the old exchange rate and not the current price."
He pointed out that "the amounts allocated to social care have been reduced by the Financial Committee," noting that "some of the added materials from the Financial Committee are unconstitutional." Ended 29 / A 87
