Member of Parliament, Abbas Yaber Al-Atafi, confirmed, on Tuesday, that the American administration had failed to achieve certain military objectives inside [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] , warning that the American presence represented a security and economic threat to Iraq and the region.
Al-Atafi said in a statement to "the information", that " [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] does not need any foreign military or security advice at the present time," indicating that "there is governmental laxity in activating the parliament’s decision diplomatically and politically to leave all foreign forces, headed by the American, from [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] .
Al-Atafi added, "The American presence represents a security and economic threat not only to Iraq, but to the countries of the region in general and the neighboring countries in particular."
