Ministry spokesman Raad al-Mashhadani told {Euphrates News}, "The Ministry of Communications has previously noted that there is no increase in the fees of cards, whether for the Internet or optical cable, and that an Iraqi ministry works in Iraqi dinars and has nothing to do with the rise in the exchange rate of the dollar."
He stressed, "The ministry is serious about establishing the Iraqi national project, optical cable and (Viber to Home), which we have started in more than 7 areas on the Karkh side in Baghdad, and the price of calling it from the landline to the landline also is only five dinars per minute and from the land phone." To the mobile phone at 15 dinars per minute, which is subsidized at the Ministry of Communications rates.
