    {Local: Al Furat News} A member of the Parliamentary Services Committee, Jassem Al-Bakhti, revealed, on Monday, that 75 books and tables were submitted to the secretariat for inclusion in the projects of the Renaissance of Baghdad.

     Al-Bakhti said {to Euphrates News} that "the streets of the new Baghdad area have not been paved since the eighties, and we asked for dozens of books to open a file for each locality, and we presented the Mayor of Baghdad with important projects related to this area and they were transferred to the Projects Department."
    He added, "We also discussed with the mayor of Baghdad throwing rubble into the Diyala River and untreated water in the Tigris, as well as bridges that need maintenance in the areas of Zayouna and Al-Mashtal, the difficulty of walking on them, and the deterioration of the bridges linking the east of the canal to New Baghdad." 
    Al-Bakhti continued, "We also discussed the problem of Al-Rustania Bridge (the eastern entrance to Baghdad), which suffers from complete neglect and conveys a distorted image of the visitor from the center and south, in addition to discussing the problem of Al-Amin streets and the chaos in the markets," calling on the Baghdad Municipality to "organize these markets to accommodate unemployed youth." 
    Al-Bakhti confirmed, "Today we presented more than 75 books to the Municipality of Baghdad, and tables were prepared and included in the Baghdad Renaissance plan," noting that "discussing the closure of roads leading to New Baghdad with the Baghdad Operations Command at a later time."
    The mayor of Baghdad called for "field tours and to see the suffering of the citizens and the streets of the capital."
