    The commission said in a statement that {Al-Furat News} received a copy of it, that "in light of the rapid developments in the preparations of the Electoral Commission within the stages of the electoral process, and with the start of the actual countdown to the polling day for the election of the Iraqi parliament on the tenth of October of this year, and after it had finished IHEC The process of drawing the numbers of the 3,244 candidates whose names have been approved by the Board of Commissioners throughout Iraq and allow them to start electoral campaigning on 7/8-2021, which will continue until six in the morning on Thursday 7/10/2021.  
    She explained, "The Commission is preparing to implement the first simulations of public and private voting, which is scheduled to take place on July 12, with one station in each of the 1,079 registration centers, spread throughout Iraq, to ​​ensure the accuracy and speed of electoral electronic devices and the ability to send results easily. From the stations and received them at the National Office through the specialized staff of the Simulation Committee in cooperation with the Korean company Miro and under the supervision of the German Examiner Company and in the presence of the United Nations Electoral Assistance Team (UNAMI) and the International Team for Electoral Systems (IFES) and with media coverage.” 
    And she continued, "The Electoral Commission operates according to Article 39 of the Elections Law No. 9 of 2020, which stipulates that the special vote should take place (48) hours before the date of the general poll, according to the biometric voter card exclusively, and therefore the Operations and Information Technology Department completed one of the Electoral Commission's formations, the spread schedule The final voter for special voting from the security forces, which includes: (Ministry of Defense, Ministry of Interior, Counter-Terrorism Agency, Ministry of Interior of the Kurdistan Region, Ministry of Peshmerga) who will vote for their constituencies using the biometric card of 1,075,727 voters distributed among the 595 polling stations centers and the 2,584 polling stations, as well as the aforementioned Operations Department presenting the final table of 120 IDPs and IDPs.126 displaced voters distributed among their 86 polling stations, with 296 polling stations. The displaced have the right to vote in the place where they reside for their original constituency from which they were displaced using the biometric card exclusively in the election of the Iraqi Parliament on the eighth of October current year".  
    The Commission indicated that "in the framework of institutional support for the electoral process, the Chairman of the Board of Commissioners, Jalil Adnan Khalaf, met the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research on 7/8/2021 to discuss the mechanism adopted by the Commission to implement Cabinet Resolution No. 174 of 2021, which includes the use of university professors. It was agreed to assign supervision tasks on polling day to academics from among more than eight thousand teachers who are distributed among sixteen electoral centers, provided that there is a sufficient number of reserves, and to open training centers in each university in coordination with the electoral offices in the governorates.
