The Social Welfare Department in Basra revealed, on Sunday, the completion of transactions to include 40 thousand beneficiaries of the care salary.
The Director of the Social Welfare Department in Basra Governorate, Uday Zuhair, told the official news agency, "The department provided all facilities to complete and promote the transactions of those covered by the rights and salaries of social welfare, who number approximately 40,000 beneficiaries."
He added, "The department is working to complete the transactions of the old file for the year 2016 to grant applicants a care salary, according to the financial allocations received from the Ministry of Finance for the year 2016 only."
With regard to the new entrants, Zuhair stated, "There are now no new meals due to the lack of financial allocations in this regard," stressing that "when the application window is opened, the transactions will be received and the procedures completed while facilitating the applicants' order."
With regard to the inclusion of this segment in land plots, the director of the department confirmed that "the allocation of land plots for the aforementioned segment is done through Basra Governorate, and the department's role is limited to providing the applicant with a letter of support that he is covered by social care."
