     Baghdad: Muhammad Al-Ansari

Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi announced that Iraq had recovered 17,000 missing Sumerian artifacts, and while he confirmed in an interview from Washington that the strategic dialogue with the United States of America came as a result of a phase of long dialogues between the two sides, he indicated that one of the most prominent results of the dialogue is the unification of the positions of the political forces in
     country.
Al-Kazemi said in an interview with the correspondent of the "Al-Iraqiya News" channel in Washington: "We have moved to a new stage of relations with the United States of America in the long term, by providing support and training to our security and military services, as well as in the economic, energy and environmental fields."
He added, "Iraq has regained its health and influence, and its role in the region has become pivotal, and everyone is betting on Iraq's role in restoring cohesion in the vicinity of the Arab and Islamic region, and searching for an Iraqi role to bring the views of the conflicting and competing countries closer."
He continued, "Last year, we signed many understandings with the United States of America, many of which are in their final stages to sign memoranda of cooperation and agreements, and they will have great repercussions on the lives of citizens."
Al-Kazemi revealed the agreement with the American company “Pfizer” to provide Iraq with 400,000 vaccines per week, after it was 50,000 in the past, and the United States of America provided half a million vaccine doses that will reach Iraq within a few weeks.
In addition, Al-Kazemi met, yesterday evening, Tuesday, at his residence in the American capital, Washington, the President of the World Bank Group, David Malpass and his accompanying delegation.
A statement by the Prime Minister's Media Office stated that during the meeting, they discussed joint cooperation in various fields, supporting the Iraqi government's efforts in administrative reform and combating corruption, supporting capacity building for Iraqi institutions, public sector reform, and banking sector reform efforts.
They also discussed cooperation in terms of financing infrastructure projects in Iraq, in the areas of water, airports, and natural gas, and discussing clean energy projects, especially solar energy to generate electric power.
The Prime Minister stressed the importance of developing cooperation with the World Bank and ways to develop it. He urged the speedy disbursement of more than one billion dollars available as loans to the World Bank. To support the government in projects ready for implementation inside Iraq.
Al-Kazemi discussed with the President of the World Bank Group, supporting the Iraqi government's plans in housing projects, and encouraging investments in this sector by American companies, and other companies.
The Prime Minister is scheduled to meet today, Wednesday, at the US Capitol in Washington, with Speaker of the US House of Representatives Nancy Pelosi, Democratic Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, and leaders of Congress, both Republicans and Democrats.
