Member of the House of Representatives, Representative Ruqaya Al-Nouri, confirmed today, Sunday, that Iraq plays a major pivotal role globally and regionally.
Al-Nouri told Mawazine News, “The Prime Minister’s visit to Washington is a historic visit and Iraqi-American relations require moving the alliance with Washington from the security and military side and moving it towards the strategic framework agreement, which includes cooperation in the field of energy, education, investment, agriculture, and all other aspects.” The other is what the Prime Minister adopted.”
She pointed out that "researching the horizon of the future relationship in the post-international coalition to fight ISIS terrorist gangs is the best way to move to a comprehensive partnership between Iraq and the United States of America, in light of the strategic framework agreement between the two countries in the political, economic, financial, cultural, educational, security, and other fields."
Al-Nouri pointed out that "the government has achieved great success at the global and regional political levels, in addition to the fact that the general internal situation has witnessed a remarkable development through visits by diplomatic missions, holding conferences and seminars, and communicating in visits by delegations of friendly countries and others."
She stressed, "Iraq has a major pivotal role globally and regionally. Al-Sudani seeks to develop and consolidate this role in a way that is consistent with the country's highest interests, serving the Iraqi people in general, and developing the country in all fields."
