Shafaq News/ Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi received a phone call from his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron today, Sunday, in which they discussed the Iraqi file as well as other regional issues.
In his conversation with Macron, Raisi explained that "Iran's policy stipulates the support of the Iraqi people to achieve stability and peace in the region," adding: "We believe that this policy is achieved through regional cooperation between the countries of the region."
For his part, Macron stressed the need to "open a new page in the relations between the two countries in the various political, economic and cultural fields and regional cooperation."
Macron recently visited Iraq to participate in the Baghdad summit, the visit also included the Kurdistan Region and Mosul.
