    [size=45]The Kurdistan Region Presidency has set the date for the first session of the new parliament, December 2nd.[/size]
    [size=45]The spokesman for the presidency of the region said in a press conference, "The presidency of the region called on the representatives who won the parliamentary elections to hold the first session of parliament on December 2nd at 11:00 am."[/size]
    [size=45]He pointed out that "this decision will enter into force from the date of its issuance and will be published in the Kurdistan Gazette."[/size]
    [size=45]Shehab stressed, saying: “If there is a serious will, a new government can be formed.”[/size]
    [size=45]Shehab said, "There are good indications of the formation of the new government, and we, in the presidency of the region, will make efforts to bring the views of the political parties closer together."[/size]
    [size=45]Last Sunday, the Board of Commissioners of the High Electoral Commission in Iraq approved the final results of the Kurdistan Regional Parliament elections.[/size]
    [size=45]On 10/20/2024, the elections for the sixth session of the Kurdistan Parliament were held in four electoral districts, and the final results were announced on 10/30/2024.[/size]
    [size=45]According to the final results, the Kurdistan Democratic Party won 39 seats with about 809,197 votes, strengthening its position as the largest party in parliament.[/size]
    [size=45]The Patriotic Union of Kurdistan came in second place with 23 seats with about 408,141 votes, while the New Generation Movement won 15 seats with the support of 290,991 votes.[/size]
    [size=45]The Kurdistan Islamic Union won 7 seats, while the National Position Movement won 4 seats, the Kurdistan Justice Group won 3 seats, the People's Front won 2 seats, the Change Movement won 1 seat, and the Kurdistan Region Alliance won 1 seat as well.[/size]
