The Ministry of Health confirmed, on Tuesday, the continuation of work to develop specialized centers and increase their numbers throughout Iraq.
The Director of the Centers Directorate at the Ministry of Health, Ahmed Obaidi, said: "The policy of the Ministry of Health continues to create and develop specialized centers, and their current number exceeds 130 centers in all governorates of Iraq except the Kurdistan Region."
He added, "In addition to the health centers in the Ministry of Health, there are centers affiliated with the Technical Affairs Department and autism centers affiliated with the National Advisor's Office and dialysis centers and industrial colleges."
He continued, "The policy of the Ministry of Health includes developing existing centers and working around the clock to open specialized centers in accordance with regulations and instructions based on technical, economic and planning feasibility."
