Minister of Electricity, Ziad Ali Fadel, discussed today, Monday, with a delegation from the Chinese Shanghai Company accelerating the pace of combined cycle projects.
The Ministry of Electricity stated in a statement, a copy of which was received by "Mawazine News", that "Fadel chaired an expanded meeting today, Monday, with a delegation from the Chinese Shanghai Company, to follow up on the implementation of combined cycle projects in gas stations and steps to accelerate work," indicating that "this comes to enhance cooperation with leading global companies in the field of energy."
The statement added that "the meeting witnessed the attendance of the Undersecretary of the Ministry for Production Affairs and a number of general managers, to discuss four main axes that focused on the combined cycle projects implemented by Shanghai in a number of gas stations in the country, developing reliable maintenance mechanisms for generating units, and ensuring the smooth flow of equipment and spare parts, while emphasizing adherence to the specified timetables for completing work at the Wasit Thermal Power Plant."
The statement continued, "This meeting comes within the framework of the ministry's comprehensive strategy to develop the electrical energy system and enhance its performance, in a way that ensures the sustainability of the service and improves its quality for citizens."
