The Media Office of the Presidency of the Republic stated in a statement received by Alsumaria News, that "President of the Republic, Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, received the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic to Iraq, Mr. Muhammad Kazem Al Sadiq."
The statement added that, "During the meeting, the Iranian ambassador congratulated Abdul Latif Rushd on his election as President of the Republic of Iraq, wishing His Excellency success in his new duties," stressing "his country's support for Iraq in enhancing its security and stability."
According to the statement, "they also discussed bilateral relations and ways to develop them, stressing the importance of consolidating cooperation and joint coordination between the two neighboring countries."
