The Sadrist movement explains to the German ambassador the shape of the next government, and the latter "likes" al-Sadr's tweet
Shafaq News/ The head of the political body of the Sadrist movement, Nassar al-Rubaie, explained today, Sunday, to the German ambassador in Baghdad, Martin Yeager, the shape of the next Iraqi government that the movement intends to head.
A statement by the Sadrist movement's media, received by Shafaq News Agency, said that "the meeting between Al-Rubaie and the German ambassador dealt with a number of issues on the Iraqi arena and the results of the recent elections that took place on the tenth of October."
Al-Rubaie stressed, "Striving for Iraq to be an attractive factor for investment in cooperation with solid international companies that are working to rebuild the country's infrastructure in a manner that serves the interests of the country and the citizen."
He added that "the next government is the government to implement the government program and provide services to citizens," noting that "the government program needs a backbone on which to fight corruption, and without it, the state cannot reform and build institutions."
The head of the Sadrist movement's political body described corruption as a "scourge" that devours everything that can be produced, noting that "nothing can be presented without eliminating it."
For his part, German Ambassador Martin Yeager expressed his admiration for the recent tweet of the leader of the Sadrist movement, Muqtada al-Sadr, which talked about good-neighbourly relations, considering this a work map and a necessity that everyone should know and work with, as stated in the statement.
He pointed out that "his state will deal with every government chosen through the constitutional framework," noting that "Germany previously supported Iraq with 3.5 billion euros, and it is in the process of supporting it in the next stage with 300 million euros."
The German ambassador said that "the elections were very good and took place with full transparency and you proved that you have a strategy in thinking and action, as there was no party like you that had this intelligence to get this number of seats."
