Slight increase in central bank sales
Shafak News Agency correspondent stated that today, during its auction for buying and selling US dollars, the Central Bank of Iraq witnessed a slight increase in its sales to reach 193 million, and 897 thousand and 790 US dollars covered by the bank at a base exchange rate of 1460 dinars per dollar, compared to last Thursday. Sales amounted to 193 million 551 thousand and 357 US dollars.
Our correspondent indicated that most of the bank's sales went to enhance balances abroad in the form of remittances and credits, which amounted to 160 million and 457 thousand and 790 dollars, while the remaining amount of 33 million and 440 thousand dollars went in cash.
Our correspondent indicated that 27 banks have fulfilled requests to enhance balances abroad, and 14 banks have responded to cash requests, in addition to 192 mediation companies.
