{Local: Al Furat News} The Ministry of Electricity attributed the reasons for the increase in the programmed cut-off areas in the past days to the decline in gas supply from the Iranian side and the limited financial allocations.
A spokesman for the Ministry of Electricity, Ahmed Al-Abadi, said in a press statement, "The decline of gas supplied from Iran, from which eight and a half million standard cubic meters per day arrives, out of the agreed amount of 50 million standard cubic feet, the energy rates of Baghdad, on a large scale, on a daily basis in the capital. ".
And he indicated that "several stations were affected by this matter, such as Al-Quds, Al-Mansuriah, Al-Sadr Al-Ghazia, and Basmaya, which led to the loss of approximately 4,500 megawatts of available energy."
The other thing that led to this decline in the hours of supplying electricity, according to Al-Abadi, is “the limited financial allocations, which greatly affected the perpetuation of the momentum of work in the sectors of production, transmission and distribution, and greatly affected the number of workers in the field.” It is scheduled to enter the work and supply the system with additional cards.”
