The former Deputy Prime Minister, Salam al-Zobaie, accused, on Sunday, political parties of targeting Baghdad International Airport, indicating that the events of the airport and the prison of Hasaka in Syria are linked to the American pressure on Iraq.
Al-Zoba'i said in a statement to "Al-Maalouma", "The person responsible for targeting Baghdad International Airport is currently detained, and the government must urgently reveal his identity, and most importantly, the party that sponsored him, and what is the purpose of striking the airport's civilian wing."
He added that "the events of al-Hasakah and the release of ISIS elements near the Iraqi-Syrian border are linked to each other," noting that "the two events aim to pressure the US with the ISIS card on Iraq at any time."
Al-Zobaie pointed out that "the international conflict in Iraq is clear, and everyone is seeking to involve it in the axes of the conflict, whether it is China or America, to obtain additional positions."
And the representative of the State of Law coalition, Muhammad al-Sihoud, confirmed in a previous statement to “The Information” that the recent targeting operations of Baghdad Airport and party headquarters were behind armed gangs affiliated with political figures, indicating that these operations aimed at finding justifications for the implementation of an international and regional project.
