    Today, Saturday, the Municipality of Baghdad announced the removal of more than 11 irregularities from the sheds and sandwich panels as part of the "Abeer Baghdad" campaign, while noting that without prejudice to the owners of the stalls of the poor and those with limited income.
    A statement by the secretariat, received by the news agency, said, "The Mayor of Baghdad, Architect Alaa Maan, launched a major campaign to remove irregular roofs, warehouses and sandwich panels because of their impact on the urban landscape and maintaining the security and safety of citizens, as they are highly flammable and increase the possibility of fires."
    The statement added, "The municipal departments removed, since the launch of the campaign on August 22, 2021 and until February 28, 2022 (11,648) bypasses of sheds and sandwich panels in all areas of the capital, Baghdad, as part of the ongoing campaign, Abeer Baghdad, which includes the removal of violations and abuses on sidewalks and streets. the public without prejudice to the owners of the stalls of the poor and those with limited income.”
    And he indicated, "The Mayor of Baghdad stressed to all municipal departments the need to follow up and remove building violations and abuses, as they represent an inappropriate phenomenon that affects the appearance and aesthetics of the city and its urban landscape, while exposing the negligent to legal accountability," calling on the people of the beloved capital Baghdad to cooperate with the staff of the Municipality of Baghdad and comply with municipal laws. He praised the cooperation of a large number of citizens in their voluntary removal of violations, distortions and abuses.
