    Earth News/ A number of employees of the implementation directorates in Iraq organized today, Thursday, a protest pause in front of their directorates due to the delay in disbursing the incentives granted to them by law.
    A number of employees stated, “Incentives have been legislated for them under the dissolved Revolutionary Command Council Resolution No. 4 of 2002, which is still in effect, and the Court of Appeal, in its discriminatory capacity, issued several decisions supporting the legality of granting incentives to employees of the implementation directorates.”
    The employees appealed to the Minister of Justice to “intervene for the purpose of disbursing the overdue incentives three months ago,” stressing that “the incentives amounts are deducted from creditors and have nothing to do with the state’s general budget or the allocations of the Ministry of Finance.”
    The employees added that “there are other steps that may be resorted to in the event of non-disbursement of incentives,” stressing that “all options are available to them in order to obtain their rights, including the right to peaceful demonstration in front of the Ministry of Justice building and the right to sit in, according to what is guaranteed by the constitution.”
