[size=45]On Wednesday, the Supreme Judicial Council of the Kurdistan Region announced that the 16th of January of each year will be designated as the day of the Kurdistan Judiciary.[/size]
[size=45]And the council said in a statement that "to pay attention to the tasks and responsibilities of the judiciary in the Kurdistan Region, the council set, during its meeting held yesterday Tuesday 4/5/2022, the date of January 16 of each year as the day of the Kurdistan judiciary."[/size]
[size=45]The statement added, "The decision came after a proposal by the Union of Kurdistan Judges," noting that "the proposal was voted on unanimously to determine the 16th of January of each year (Kurdish Judiciary Day)."[/size]
[size=45]The statement continued, "The choice of this date coincides with the date of 1/16/1993, the anniversary of the founding of the Court of Appeal in the Kurdistan Region."[/size]
