    Member of the State of Law Coalition, Fadel Mawat, considered, on Monday, the Silk Road as a "death blow to the projects of the Gulf states and America in Iraq," explaining that it will fail all the plans of the countries that dominate the political situation in the country.
    In a statement to the Information Agency, Mwat said, "The Silk Road represents a fatal blow to the projects of America, the Gulf countries, and other foreign companies, as it is a link between Iraq and European countries, and it returns to the country with huge imports," noting that "the Silk Road will fail all Gulf plans in Iraq."
    He added, "Al-Kazemi's government is supported by external parties that prevent many projects in the country, such as the Silk Road, the implementation of the Chinese agreement, and the opening of southern ports."
    He explained that "the government obstructed the Chinese agreement brought by Adel Abdul-Mahdi and the infrastructure project brought by Nuri al-Maliki, which puts the Silk Road project as an obstacle in the way of the countries that dominate the political situation in Iraq."
