, the Council of Ministers voted, on Tuesday, to suspend import licenses until next June.
And the Border Ports Authority said in a statement that Mawazine News received a copy of it, "Based on a proposal submitted by the authority and in the presence of its head, Major General Omar Adnan Al-Waeli, the Council of Ministers voted to suspend import licenses until the eighth of next June for the goods mentioned in Cabinet Resolution 80 of 2022. ".
She added, "The measures came out of the government's interest in citizens and to prevent the rise in the prices of essential goods and commodities."
She pointed out that "the decision also included the formation of an important committee from the relevant departments and the membership of the head of the Border Ports Authority to monitor and study the reality of the situation in order to provide solutions to any newcomer that affects the progress of the trade exchange process in a way that meets the needs of citizens, serves importers and facilitates their procedures."
