Today, Tuesday, the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research resolved the controversy over gender segregation in universities, while setting the working mechanism during the next academic year.
The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education, Yassin Al-Ithawi, told the official agency, "The hours will be present in Iraqi universities, as it was in previous years before the Corona epidemic, if there is no emergency according to the decisions of the Health and Safety Committee," stressing "there are no decisions to separate the sexes in universities." Iraqi".
In a separate context, he pointed out, "there are no scholarships due to financial hardship, as we have needs to send scholarships, but the problem is in the budget and financial monitoring."
He added, "There is a plan for scholarships with accurate details, but without a budget, this remains ink on paper."
