    Higher Education calls to amend the Higher Education Act and the expansion of joint action with the Kurdistan Regional Institutions

    called on the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Abdul Razzaq al - Issa during his visit to the Ministry of Education in the Kurdistan region and meeting with a number of officials and professors there, to amend the Higher Education Act and the expansion of joint action with the Kurdistan Regional institutions.
    The Al-Issa said in a statement received "light News" copy of it on the "expansion of the joint scientific work and hold seminars, conferences and workshops that can be set up to serve the base work of building Iraq at this juncture."
    Alissa agreed according to the statement with the Minister of Education in the Kurdistan Joseph Curran on "the development of scientific programs and outline a strategy for joint work in the future."
    The minister stressed that "the steps of this work starting from the need to amend the Higher Education Act in Iraq and the expansion of the participants circle and keep academic institutions from the atmosphere of political influence, pointing out that international organizations look at Iraqi universities in Baghdad and Erbil from the angle of view, one based its findings jointly."
    Alissa expressed hope that "academic projects play a role in strengthening the Iraqi spectrum and solving the problems of the current Iraqi and develop visions for the construction of Iraqi society in all fields."
