Yes Iraq: Baghdad
It showed statistical figures for the accounts of the Iraqi state between the periods 1978-1990, compared to 2010-2021.
According to data revealed by the Iraq Future Foundation, revenues between the periods 1978-1990 amounted to approximately 298 billion dollars, while between the periods 2010-2021, they amounted to about 809 billion dollars.
Current expenditures, in US dollars, between 1978-1990, amounted to about 306 billion dollars, while current expenditures between 2010-2021 amounted to about 604 billion dollars.
Investment expenditures in US dollars 1978-1990 amounted to about 145 billion dollars, while between 2010-2021 they amounted to 173 billion dollars.
Thus, the percentage of investment spending between 1978 and 1990 amounted to 48% of the total revenues, while the state spent from 2010 to 2021 on investment, which was only 21% of the total revenues.
