Today, Sunday, Minister of Finance, Dr. Ali Abdul-Amir Allawi, received the Ambassador of the United States of America in Baghdad, Mrs. Alina Romanowski.
During the meeting, the two sides reviewed the Iraqi-American bilateral relations, ways to enhance the economic partnership between the two countries and the desire to intensify cooperation by studying all available opportunities in the fields of investment, finance and economy.
Dr. Ali Allawi said, "The Iraqi government attaches great importance to developing relations with the United States of America in various fields, for the common and long-term interest of the Iraqi and American peoples, and that this relationship can achieve more progress, especially in the financial, economic and commercial aspects."
For her part, Ambassador Alina Romanowski expressed her happiness to work in Iraq, and the commitment of the United States to support the Iraqi government's reform plans, and to look forward to strengthening the existing relations between the two countries in various fields.
