As soon as the evening of the ninth of Muharram came, the number of arrivals to the vicinity of the Parliament building began to increase, after the erection of tents and Husseini processions, where hundreds of people camped.
With hundreds of processions scattered, and the number increased every time one approached his building, the parliament seemed to be one of the holy places.
The rituals were not limited to mentioning the incident of Tuff only, but also included educational lectures and religious sermons presented by the elders of the Sadrist movement, as well as monologues and supplications for salvation from injustice and oppression.
The sit-in did not spare any effort to make the rituals held in the place a success for the first time, and some of them spent the night transporting supplies and providing services.
The rise in temperatures and the increase in the number of mourners prompted the protesters to set up tents for medical detachments called Ambulance Al-Watan, which were spread in the courtyards of Parliament to treat the mourners, especially since some of them continued their work for more than 12 hours.
According to the protesters, the tents and processions will remain even after the Ashura ceremony ends, in an indication of an increase in the pace of protest in the coming days, amid anticipation of Al-Hananah directives.
It is not possible to estimate the number of arrivals to the Green Zone on the night of the tenth of Muharram, as all the streets leading to Parliament were filled with sit-ins.
