An expanded meeting in the Iraqi parliament in the presence of the presidential and Sudanese presidential candidates
Shafaq News/ Today, Thursday, the Iraqi political blocs held an expanded meeting in the House of Representatives, in the presence of the presidential candidates, Abdul Latif Rashid and Barham Salih, and the candidate to form the next government, Muhammad Al-Sudani.
A parliamentary source told Shafaq News Agency, that an expanded meeting of the leaders of the political blocs was held this morning in the office of Parliament Speaker Muhammad al-Halbousi, in the presence of the framework candidate for prime minister, Muhammad Shiaa al-Sudani and the Union candidate for the presidency, Barham Salih, in addition to the participant of the presidential candidate, Abdul Latif Rashid.
Today, Thursday, the Sunni "sovereignty" coalition led by Muhammad al-Halbousi and Khamis al-Khanjar decided to vote for "Abdul Latif Rashid" as President of the Republic during the daily parliament session.
Today, Thursday, the Political Bureau of the Kurdistan Democratic Party announced the withdrawal of its candidate, Reber Ahmed, from the competitive race for the position of President of the Republic of Iraq, and explained that his bloc would participate in the session to elect the candidate of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan, Latif Rashid.
