In a statement received by Alsumaria News, the Commission’s Investigation Department stated that “the Diyala Investigation Office team, which moved to the Governorate Education Directorate, based on a judicial note, revealed violations in the process of disbursing an amount of (791,238,634) million dinars,” noting that “the aforementioned amount It is part of the investment budget for 2019, which is allocated to renovating schools.

The department added that "the Directorate of Education committed several violations of the controls in the implementation of the restoration project," pointing out that "the office team seized (7) of the exchange documents for the project."

She explained that "the office's staff at the Mandali border port was able, after follow-up, to seize one of the port's employees for tampering with the weights of the cargoes of the wheels and the imported goods in return for a sum of money that he receives for each loading wheel," noting that the lists of balance tapes were seized whose payloads were tampered with and the wheels were inserted without their weight.
