His Excellency the President of the Republic, Dr. Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid Al Khalifa, received a cable of congratulations from His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, King of the Kingdom of Bahrain, and the Crown Prince and Prime Minister Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, on the occasion of His Excellency’s assumption of the position of President of the Republic.
The King of Bahrain expressed his sincere congratulations and blessings to His Excellency the President, wishing him success in his duties as President of the Republic of Iraq.
His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa affirmed the Kingdom of Bahrain's keenness to strengthen relations between the two brotherly countries, noting that Bahrain pays attention and appreciation to establishing advanced relations with the Republic of Iraq.
In his telegram, His Highness, Crown Prince of the Council of Ministers Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, also expressed his best congratulations and blessings to His Excellency the President on his election as President of the Republic, expressing his hope to develop relations and consolidate prospects of cooperation between the two brotherly countries in the service of common interests.
In the telegram, he wished success, progress, prosperity and stability for the Iraqi people.
