, Deputy Prime Minister for Energy Affairs and Minister of Oil Hayan Abdul Ghani confirmed, on Thursday, the commitment to increase the national production of crude oil and associated gas.
A statement by the ministry, received by Mawazine News, stated that "Oil Minister Hayan Abdul-Ghani visited the headquarters of the Basra Oil Company and met the company's general manager and the leading cadres."
Abdul-Ghani stressed, "The ministry's keenness to develop an accelerated work platform to increase and sustain the national production of crude oil and associated gas, in line with the vocabulary of the government program." In line with the plans and commitments contained in the government curriculum, the Basra Oil Company is of great importance to achieving this goal.
The Minister of Oil stressed the importance of "developing oil fields that fall within the responsibilities of the national effort, and supporting projects to increase storage and export capacities, and the marine pipeline network," pointing out "the need to develop export ports in proportion to their importance as the main export gateway to Iraqi oil, and to provide amenities for workers." In the export ports by building a permanent housing complex that includes all the requirements of accommodation and ideal services in these locations.”
He instructed the company "to intensify its efforts in the framework of supporting and implementing projects within the allocation of social benefits, especially the health sector and other service sectors in coordination with the concerned departments and authorities in the province," stressing the importance of "attention to the productive provinces, including Basra, which needs a lot of attention, care and support from us."
The Minister of Oil praised "the efforts of the employees of the Basra Oil Company in sustaining and increasing production, oil exports, and achieving significant financial revenues that supplement the federal budget." Ended 29/N33
