    Today, Sunday, the Supreme Judicial Council confirmed exerting maximum efforts in combating drug crimes.
    A statement by the council stated, "The council held its fifteenth session, chaired by the President of the Federal Court of Cassation, Faeq Zaidan."
    He added, "During the session, it was stressed that maximum efforts be made in combating drug crimes and the follow-up of the competent authorities to implement the decision of the Supreme Judicial Council to destroy the seized narcotic substances as soon as possible."
    And he continued, "The Council approved the promotion of a number of judges and members of the public prosecution and the granting of judicial positions that require approval of formations in some presidencies of appeal, according to the proposal submitted by the Presidency of Appeals."
    He pointed out, "The approval of the transfer and assignment of a number of judges and members of the public prosecution, based on the requirements of the public interest."
