The Minister of Electricity, Adel Karim, confirmed, on Monday, that the newly installed employees amount to more than 100,000 employees, stressing that the ministry does not need them.
"The Ministry of Electricity does not need the 100,000 employees who were recently installed," Karim said in remarks on the sidelines of the Oil and Energy Conference, which was attended by Al-Iqtisad News.
Karim added, "The Ministry of Electricity approved them without its will."
The Council of Ministers decided in a previous session to confirm the contracts of the Ministry of Electricity for those who have contractual service for two years or more, and for the Ministry of Finance to create grades and job titles, and the transfer is made from the planning budget for each company affiliated to the Ministry of Electricity.
