[size=45]And the governor of Dhi Qar, Muhammad Hadi Al-Ghazi, said in a statement, which (Al-Mada) received a copy of, that “Dhi Qar Governorate obtained the approval of the Prime Minister, Muhammad Shia’a Al-Sudani, to establish a production station with a capacity of 3000 megawatts in Dhi Qar,” noting that “the approval came based on a request I submitted.” province earlier.[/size]
[size=45]Al-Ghazi confirmed, "The completion of the initial approvals and the allocation of the required space for the station's site," pointing out that "the establishment of the station is one of the most important and largest projects in the governorate since its establishment, with a value of $3 billion."[/size]

[size=45]For his part, the media spokesman for the governor of Dhi Qar, Abu al-Hassan al-Badri, said in a statement to (Al-Mada) that “this station will be established similar to the Rumaila power station and in a location close to the industrial city,” noting that “the area of ​​the site is estimated at 500 dunums.”[/size]
[size=45]Al-Badri added, "The current production of electrical energy in Dhi Qar Governorate is estimated at 850 megawatts, while the actual need exceeds the barrier of 2,200 megawatts, especially during the summer season."[/size]
[size=45]He pointed out, "The size of the production capacity of the station to be established is commensurate with the growing loads and the future need for electric energy," expecting that "the completion of the station will contribute to completely solving the problem of power outages."[/size]
[size=45]Al-Badri believes that "the implementation of the station will be entrusted to one of the most prestigious international companies, including the German Siemens or an American company specialized in this field."[/size]
[size=45]He stressed, "The focus on production at the current stage came due to the urgent need for that, especially since the governorate is witnessing urban expansion and remarkable interest in the tourism and archaeological aspects."[/size]
[size=45]The Dhi Qar Governorate's need for electric power is estimated at more than 2,200 megawatts to work around the clock. However, the current supply from the national system and the production of local stations ranges between 1,400 and 1,500 megawatts, which requires working with a programmed cutting system of 4 hours of processing versus two hours of cutting.[/size]
[size=45]The national system is witnessing, in general, a decline in processing hours, while the Ministry of Electricity attributed this to the decline in Iranian gas supplies due to the large demand for it internally, stressing that this caused stations to stop and the production of other stations to decline, calling for the speedy completion of Iraqi gas projects.[/size]
