The First Deputy Chairman of the Committee, Mr. Ahmed Mazhar Al-Jubouri, said: After more than four months have passed since the formation of the government, we call on the government to expedite and work seriously to send the budget law for the year 2023 within a short period so that the Finance Committee can legislate it in the House of Representatives, especially since the time inside the committee and the parliament is short for discussion. The draft law, adding that we hope that time will not be longer at the expense of the poor and the Iraqi people, since the country is in dire need of enacting the law.
The deputy chairman of the committee stressed that the law touches on the poor classes, segments of retirees, contracts and daily wages, as the budget is expected to be sent; In order for the Finance Committee to discuss it and submit it to the House of Representatives for a vote, adding: We, as a Finance Committee, are committed to sending an official letter to demand that the budget be sent after a long time has passed in the inclusion of the government, and it must abide by its legal and constitutional responsibility.

The Parliamentary Finance Committee called on the government to expedite sending the general federal budget law for the year 2023 after forming the government and electing the heads of parliamentary committees.
