On Sunday, the head of the Parliamentary Committee on Economy, Industry and Trade, Ahmed Al-Kinani, announced the committee's support for the steps of Prime Minister Muhammad Shia'a Al-Sudani in reducing obstacles in front of merchants and importers.

Al-Kinani said in a statement received by Alsumaria News, "We encourage the prime minister's steps to reduce red tape and remove obstacles in front of merchants and importers to facilitate the task of entering imported materials and facilitating procedures for selling currency within the specified central bank rate."

He considered these steps "an essential part of the success of the importers' mechanism and correcting their status within local and international law."
