President Pavel Jalal Talabani, head of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan, met in Baghdad with Nuri al-Maliki, head of the State of Law Coalition.
During the meeting, which was attended by Khaled Shawani, a member of the political bureau of the National Union, they discussed the general conditions of the country and the recent measures of the government in order to improve the living conditions of citizens and strengthen the economic structures of the country. The two sides stressed the implementation and support of the government program in order to secure a decent and stable life for citizens without discrimination.
The problems between the Kurdistan Region and Baghdad and the continuation of dialogue to reach a comprehensive solution and end the differences were another focus of the discussions.
