    Shafaq News/ Shakhwan Abdullah, Deputy Speaker of the Iraqi Parliament announced, on Wednesday, that the Prime Minister, Muhammad Shia’a Al-Sudani, has adopted procedures based on assessments issued by official oversight bodies, through which the heads of the local government who fail to perform their duties and those found guilty of financial corruption are dismissed. And administrative, revealing at the same time that Al-Sudani had received corruption files in Kirkuk Governorate.
    Today, Abdullah made a visit to the political parties and forces of the Kurdish, Arab and Turkmen components in Kirkuk, and the deputy head of the council said in a statement to reporters on the sidelines of the visit that his visit comes to inform these forces and parties of the issues related to the province, and the meetings held with the United Nations Mission in Iraq in this regard. And the steps taken to normalize the situation in Kirkuk, especially with regard to agricultural lands and how to compensate farmers.



    He added that Article 140 of the parliamentary constitution committee will be activated next week, stressing that the issue of managing the governorate and services was among the files that were discussed with those parties and forces in Kirkuk, in addition to the issue of the provincial elections and the ongoing preparations for their conduct.
    Abdullah pointed out that the Prime Minister, Muhammad Shia'a al-Sudani, put a file on the governorates, and one of the heads of local governments was actually dismissed, noting that al-Sudani appointed a person to supervise this file.
    He continued by saying, "We have handed over corruption files in full to the prime minister, and the latter has adopted procedures to isolate and dismiss governors that include sending 4 evaluations to him by parliamentarians, and the Office of Financial Supervision, Planning, and Integrity," noting that files related to the governor of Kirkuk, Rakan Saeed Al-Jubouri has been handed over to those authorities and his assessment will be issued on this basis.
    In early February, Prime Minister Muhammad Shia'a al-Sudani agreed to dismiss the governor of Diwaniyah, Zuhair al-Shaalan, on charges of financial corruption.

    The next day, January 11, the Federal Integrity Commission revealed that the Governor of Diwaniyah, Zuhair Al-Shaalan, had signed contracts with previous dates after the decision to withdraw his hand by Prime Minister Muhammad Shia Al-Sudani, noting that certified copies of the initial contracts were seized after the decision to withdraw his hand by more than 17 years. billion dinars.
    Muhammad Shiaa al-Sudani also decided to assign the first deputy of Diwaniyah Governorate, Faris and Nass Abd, to run the affairs of the province.
