{Iraq: Al-Furat News} Prime Minister Muhammad Shia al-Sudani met Thursday evening with his Palestinian counterpart, Muhammad Shtayyeh, on the sidelines of participation in the Munich Security Conference.

A statement from his office, of which {Euphrates News} received a copy, stated that: "During the meeting, they discussed the overall regional and international situation, and the economic and security challenges that the region is going through."
During the meeting, the Prime Minister renewed "Iraq's firm and principled position regarding the just cause of the brotherly Palestinian people."
For his part, Shtayyeh stressed "the importance of developing relations between the two brotherly peoples," appreciating "Iraq's stances in support of sustainable security and stability in the region."
