    {Politics: Al-Furat News} The head of the National State Forces Alliance, Mr. Al-Hakim, received the Saudi ambassador to Iraq, Abdul Aziz Al-Shammari, and they exchanged views on bilateral relations between Baghdad and Riyadh in a way that serves the interests of the two countries and the two peoples.
    During the meeting, Mr. Al-Hakim stressed, according to a statement from his office, a copy of which {Euphrates News} received, "the necessity of activating the work of the joint committees between the two countries and investing in the desire of each country to open up to the other and promote the common interests between them."
    And he stated, "Iraq is open to everyone, especially its Arab and Islamic neighborhood, and it stems in its relations from common interests and the preservation of its sovereignty, and it seeks to bridge the views of the regional parties in a way that serves their countries and enables their peoples to benefit from their resources."
    Internationally, Mr. Al-Hakim called for "everyone's contribution to stopping the language of wars and conflicts and to compensate for them with the language of dialogue, partnership and influence management."
    He held "all influential countries and civil society responsible for reaching a safe world without wars or conflicts."
    He referred to "the environmental reality in Iraq and the region," noting that "the region is suffering from an environmental crisis and major climatic changes, and we called for the concerted efforts of the affected countries and the exchange of experiences to reduce this phenomenon."
