Today, Wednesday, Prime Minister Muhammad Shia al-Sudani met with the Vice President of the Iraqi Kurdistan Regional Government, Qubad Talabani, in the presence of the Governor of Sulaymaniyah, the Minister of Planning in the regional government, and the head of the Halabja administration.
The meeting, which took place at the headquarters of the deputy head of the regional government, according to a statement by the Sudanese office, witnessed a review of the overall general situation in the region, Sulaymaniyah Governorate and the city of Halabja.
During the meeting, the Prime Minister indicated the importance of solidarity work to solve all internal problems based on the foundations established by the constitution.
He also clarified the need to face challenges, whether on the economic level, or on the level of development and securing services for citizens as a priority and necessity, and upon which social stability and civil peace are based.
For his part, Qubad Talabani appreciated the government's decision to vote on a bill to transform Halabja into a governorate, and considered it an added fairness to the victims of this city, which was subjected to the worst attack during the dictatorial regime.
He renewed support for the government's path in implementing reforms, and achieving the government program for the benefit of all Iraqis.
