Parliament voted, at dawn today, Monday, on 7 articles out of 15 articles in the proposed law for the third amendment to the Parliament, Provincial and District Councils Elections Law No. (12) for the year 2018, while the parliament decided to resume voting on next Saturday.
The media department of Parliament said, "The parliament voted on 7 articles out of 15 in the law, which came in implementation of the decisions of the Federal Court, number (155 / federal / 2019 and its units 157, 160, 161, 162, 167, 168, 171/2019, 5 / federal 2021 and 159 / federal / 2021). 43 / Federal 2021 and 117 / Federal 2019, 87 and their units 111 and 112 / Federal 2019, 103 / Federal 2021, 144 / Federal 2021) and for the purpose of holding free, fair and fair elections for the Iraqi Council of Representatives and provincial councils that are not organized in a region and upgrading them and the participation of all segments of society and ensuring Fair distribution of seats among the competing lists.
The media department added, in a statement received by Mawazine News, that "the House of Representatives decided to resume voting on the draft law next Saturday." Ended 29/N33
