    The House of Representatives voted to amend several articles in the election law, while adopting the "St. Lego" method 1.7 in the law.


    The Council said in a statement, “The House of Representatives votes to amend Article 2 of the law, and it includes the displaced voter: the Iraqi who was displaced from his place of permanent residence to another place inside Iraq after 9/12/2013 for any reason, provided that he is registered with the Ministry of Immigration.” and immigrants).






    The statement pointed out that “the House of Representatives votes to amend Article (6) of the law, to read as follows:

B : After the end of the electoral cycle for the provincial councils stipulated in Clause (First) of this Article, the elections will be held 45 days before, and the election date will be determined by a decision of the Council of Representatives

    in coordination with the Commission before a period of not less than 90 days.

    And provincial and district councils (45) days before the end date of the sessions that preceded

    them.Fourth: Elections for the irregular provincial councils in a region are held in one day throughout the [url=https://www.alsumaria.tv/Entity/47585/%D8%AC%D9%85%D9%87%D9%88%D8%B1%D9%8A%D8%A9 %D8%A7%D9%84%D8%B9%D8%B1%D8%A7%D9%82/ar/]Republic of Iraq[/url].Fifth

    : The [url=https://www.alsumaria.tv/Entity/1122135457/%D9%85%D8%AC%D9%84%D8%B3 %D8%A7%D9%84%D9%88%D8%B2%D8%B1%D8%A7%D8%A1/ar/]Council of Ministers[/url], based on the Commission’s proposal, suspends the official working hours for election days.

    The House of Representatives voted to "amend Article (7) of the original law to read as follows":.

    First: A full-fledged Iraqi who has completed thirty (30) years of age on polling day.

    Committee Proposal: Amend Article Eight to read as follows: -

    Eighth: Submit a list of the names of no less than (500) five hundred non-repeating voters supporting his candidacy from among the registered voters in the constituency in which he is applying for candidacy in a single list in accordance with instructions issued by the [url=https://www.alsumaria.tv/Entity/746788670/%D9%85%D8%AC%D9%84%D8%B3 %D8%A7%D9%84%D9%85%D9%81%D9%88%D8%B6%D9%8A%D9%86/ar/]Board of Commissioners[/url].

    Secondly, a - to have a bachelor's degree or its equivalent, with the exception of the quota for the components, the preparatory certificate or higher.

    Amend the third clause to read as follows:
    Third: He must not have been convicted of a felony or misdemeanor involving moral turpitude or cases of administrative and financial corruption stipulated in Articles (330, 333, 334, 335, 338, 336, 340, 339) of the amended Penal Code No. 111 of 1969, by a final judicial ruling. Whether it is covered by pardon or not.

    Eighth: Submitting a list of the names of no less than (500) five hundred non-repeated voters supporting his candidacy from among the registered voters in the constituency in which he is applying for candidacy in a single list according to instructions issued by the [url=https://www.alsumaria.tv/Entity/746788670/%D9%85%D8%AC%D9%84%D8%B3 %D8%A7%D9%84%D9%85%D9%81%D9%88%D8%B6%D9%8A%D9%86/ar/]Board of Commissioners[/url].

    The House of Representatives also voted to amend the articles of the original law to read as follows:

    Item First of Article (12)
    First: Valid votes for each list are divided according to the serial numbers (1, 7, 3, 5, 7, 9 ..... etc.) And by the number of constituency seats, the highest output is chosen until all constituency seats are exhausted.

    Article 14: First: If a member of the House of Representatives or a member of the Governorate Council loses his seat for any reason whatsoever, the candidate next to him in terms of the number of votes obtained on his list shall replace him.

    Second: If a member of the House of Representatives or a member of the Governorate Council lost his seat for any reason and was on a single list, the seat shall be allocated to another candidate who obtained the highest number of votes, the party or political organization that obtained the highest number of votes but did not obtain a seat.
