[rtl]Basra / NINA /- The Chairman of the Parliamentary Transportation and Communications Committee, Zahra Al-Bajari, revealed, on Monday, that there is a governmental approach to complete the railway link project between Iraq and the Islamic Republic, indicating that the implementation of the project will have positive repercussions in various fields.
Al-Bajari said, according to a statement, that there is serious determination and will to complete the connection of the Shalamcheh-Basra railway to receive millions of visitors from Iraq's guests on the fortieth day of Imam Hussein (PBUH).
And she added that the government is determined to complete the connection of the Shalamcheh-Basra railway, which is 32 kilometers long, to be linked to the railway line to transport travelers, especially visitors to the holy shrines, for the purpose of alleviating the annual congestion, especially in the Arbaeen of Imam Hussein (PBUH), stressing that the insistence of the two sides to link the railway comes Coinciding with the launch of the five economic committees (trade, land transport, banking finance, investment and energy) in order to support and develop the economic and investment relations of the two countries and to develop service and economic projects.
And she indicated that "work on the rail link project will start soon by clearing the track through experts to clear mines, identifying tracks across Iraqi territory, and constructing a railway bridge across the Shatt al-Arab.
