The Ministry of Transport announced that seismic observatories at the General Authority for Meteorology and Seismic Monitoring recorded an earthquake on Saturday evening in Maysan Governorate.
And the report of the General Authority for Seismological Monitoring, in a statement by the ministry, stated that "the earthquake was recorded at 10:13:35 pm, Saturday, local time, and it had a magnitude of (4.6) degrees, and it was located (66) km northeast of the city of Amarah in Maysan Governorate."
He added, "It was felt by the citizens, and we did not suffer any significant losses."
