    The General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers announced, on Tuesday, the launch of the sonar network link between the Munthiriya border crossing and the headquarters of the Border Crossings Authority through the National Data Center.  
    The Municipality said, in a statement received by "Al-Iqtisad News", that "the engineer in the data center department, Thaer Saadi, confirmed the completion of the sonar network connection between the Al-Mundhiriya border crossing and the headquarters of the Border Crossings Authority through the National Data Center, and work is continuing to complete the connection in the rest of the ports sequentially after most of them have been prepared." required supplies.”  
    Saadi added, "This achievement comes within the government's plan and endeavor to achieve a serious and rapid transition to electronic work, which was embodied in this project by checking images of goods electronically, in order to achieve the desired results in combating corruption and controlling smuggling and waste of public money." Connecting the network of the ports (Al-Mundhariya, Mandali and Zabatiya) to the sonar device, in preparation for linking it to the electronic permit.  
    He pointed out, "The completion of the sonar network connection between the Zurbatiya border crossing and the headquarters of the Border Crossings Authority through the National Data Center, 48 hours after the completion of the network connection at the Muthariyya border crossing."  
    And the secretariat indicated, according to the statement, that “the network connection will transmit images of the incoming goods from the “sonar” device in a real time and automatically to the headquarters of the Border Ports Authority in Baghdad and the national data center in the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers, which provides central control and complete control over the incoming materials and checking their quality.” In addition to combating smuggling and maximizing economic revenues significantly.
