A member of the Media and Communications Commission, Muhammad Al-Hamad, criticized the absence of oversight on the role and work of some organizations in Iraq.
Al-Hamad said in a tweet on Twitter, that the absence of oversight on the role and work of some organizations will enhance the change of cultures and way of thinking of many of our youth, wondering: Organizations such as Hivos, which are concerned with gays, what are they doing in Iraq?
He added: Why do you support some organizations with millions of dollars annually, pointing out that the use of titles different from reality in the workshops and courses that they fund or supervise their implementation and deceptions of this kind do not deceive people of awareness.
In Iraq, the US State Department used Hivos as a partner to achieve its goals.
Journalist Walid Qaddum said that these organizations have suspicious work in Iraq and do not offer anything to society other than some workshops that incite moral decay with the urgency of openness.
Ahmed Abdel Hamid, who is interested in Iraqi affairs, considered that the German DW channel focuses a lot on Iraq through abnormal programs through Jaafar Talk programs.
Activist Dalal Aqil commented on Twitter that these organizations are a way to eradicate self-culture and replace it with the consumables of foreign culture.
Some civil society organizations in Iraq receive financial support from Hivos, amounting to millions of dollars annually.
Hivos organization in particular faces a lot of criticism in Arab and Islamic countries and Iraq, despite its rhetoric calling for social and environmental change all over the world, but in some countries it faces criticism and challenges in implementing some of its projects, including
