    On Monday, National Security Adviser Qassem Al-Araji called on countries to receive non-Iraqi children from their mothers who are in the country's prisons.
    The media office of the National Security Adviser stated, in a statement received by Al-Maaloumah, that, “Under the direction of the Prime Minister, National Security Adviser Qassem Al-Araji and Minister of Justice Khaled Shawani chaired today a special meeting on the file of non-Iraqi children accompanying their mothers who are in Iraqi prisons, in the presence of the general directors.” In the Ministry of Justice, the head of the investigation court in the Supreme Judicial Council, as well as the ambassadors of the concerned countries.
    He added, "During the meeting, emphasis was placed on urging countries to receive non-Iraqi children accompanying their mothers who are in the prisons of the Ministry of Justice, as well as to receive women whose sentences have expired and return them to their countries." .”
    And he continued, "The meeting concluded with an agreement in principle to start providing embassies inside Iraq with information on children and women returning to them, so that the administrative and legal procedures are completed and direct to transfer them from Iraq to their countries."
