Baghdad: Muhannad Abdel-Wahhab,
the Parliamentary Security and Defense Committee demanded the allocation of funds for the Ministries of Defense and Interior in the budget to enhance their strength and add qualitative combat capabilities, while it indicated that the government seeks to pay off all debts incurred by Iraq and that it is not interested in increasing borrowing.[/size]
[size=45]Committee member Jawad al-Bolani said in an interview: "The committee demanded the allocation of funds to the Ministries of Defense and Interior to add qualitative combat capabilities to the security services in weapons and training, building additional camps and strengthening the security infrastructure."[/size]
[size=45]He added, "The Ministry of Defense has its tasks in defending Iraq's sovereignty, and its capabilities are still incomplete and in need of support, just as the Ministry of Interior is on the verge of receiving the security file, and it must strengthen its capabilities with financial allocations."[/size]
[size=45]A member of the Security Committee revealed that “a committee specialized in diagnosing the needs of the security services and supplying weapons for effective combat devices that need development; Including air defense and drones, and relying on modern technologies in communications, because the world is heading to these new technologies.[/size]
